In honor of Mother's Day, I'm simply sharing some photos of the mockingbird nest in our garden.

We'll miss the eggs hatching, as we're leaving for England tomorrow and the eggs should hatch while we're away. But hopefully when we get back we'll be able to see some nestlings and perhaps even be around when they get ready to leave the nest.
Happy Mother's Day everyone. I'll be back to blogging in a couple of weeks.

Thank you Carol.
Have a safe and wonderful vacation.
Jayne: Great post in honor of Mother's day! Hope you are having great time on the vacation. Enjoy and be safe!
I had no idea that mockingbirds' eggs looked like "real" robins' eggs - thanks for enlightening me! I am sure that we have nesting mockingbirds, bluejays and cardinals, but the only evidence is the parents' protective behaviour whenever one of the cats is in their vicinity. We had tree ducks checking us out a few weeks ago, but they didn't hang around for long. Hope you're enjoying your holiday at home!
