Mosaic Monday

Last year's bluebonnet season was a bust because of the lack of rain. But it looks as if Mother Nature is setting the stage for a stunning bluebonnet season in 2012.

These photos are just a little patch I happened across on the way back from seeing the horses at the weekend.  Eric and I will be hitting the highway next weekend, in search of more bluebonnets.

This is the first time I have joined Mary at Little Red House in Mosaic Monday.  Visit her site to see lots of beautiful mosaics from around the world.

Nice. I'm hoping to get out on the road to see some wildflowers this week - if I can tear myself away from the pleasures of weeding long enough.

There are lots of reports of some really spectacular fields of bluebonnets this year Dorothy -- I can't wait to get out on the road.

And as for weeds, believe it or not, most of the weeds in our garden are actually milkweed seedlings, so I'm leaving a lot of them alone (except where there are literally hundreds of them and they just can't stay).

We are all so excited about the wildflower season in this the year of Mrs Johnson's centenary. Hope you get out and about to see some more.

Yes they are beautiful, Texas does have lots of pretty ones for sure. I stop and pick some to have in the house. Carol

Love the mosaic. It must be wonderful to see the bluebonnets enmass in the fields. V
